Faith is very important in life. In fact, no one can exist without having faith in something. The question is where is our faith directed? Even Atheists believe in something? In fact it takes more faith to believe we are here by accident than it does to believe that all things have been created by God. What we believe is our choice. It's a decision everyone must make. Because of the important roll faith plays in our lives I think it fitting to start our topical studies with the subject of faith. Faith is a theme that runs through the Bible from Genesis through Revelation. Our faith guides us through the Scriptures as we seek to understand (as much as humanly possible) the Creator of all things. As we begin looking at into the topic of faith, search your thoughts, beliefs, actions, and life to determine where your faith is.
I know the struggle with faith is real. There have been times, even when I stood in a pulpit and preached the Gospel, that I had questions about my faith. And today there are times when I have questions. So if you are struggling with your faith, you are not alone. Great theologians throughout history have struggled with the topic of faith. Their struggles have provided us with some of the greatest insights into faith.
Doubt isn't a bad thing. Especially if we seek to resolve our doubt. If explored, doubt can lead to faith and can draw us closer to God. God isn't turned away by our doubts about Him. He is plenty big enough to handle any doubt we may have. God is waiting for us to come to Him with all of our doubts. And as we come to Him, He greets us with wide open arms.
Bring your doubts with you as we explore what the Bible tells us regarding faith. Don't hestitate to ask questions. Your questions are probably the same ones others are seeking answers to. You are not alone in your doubts. I have doubts and questions to. So lets see if we can answer some of them.
